Karpenter is committed to developing concepts and technologies that contribute to the sustainable management of our environment. We believe that every type of consumption, including the furniture products, affects the environment.
We strongly believe that design should be easily adaptable to new trends and changing life situations. This reduces the need for replacement, which is kinder for the environment.
Through the collaboration of customary mastery and technology, we always strive to embody our main goal: to create high-quality, durable furniture. Precision is guaranteed by the use of modern machinery and our traditional knowledge of shaping wood-on-wood joints, such as dovetails, mortises, and tenons.
We reduce our environmental footprint by using low-impact materials, making durable products, and reusing or decomposing products no longer in use. We work with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) to ensure that our wood products are sustainably sourced.
Besides having an FSC certification for Teakwood, our Black Walnut, White Ash, and White Oak come from sustainable forests in the USA and Europe, which prioritize social justice, environmental responsibility, and economic viability to ensure renewable resources.
Defined by Nature, is what we view as core value. Timber, our main material, is biodegradable and returns to nature in a sustainable way as it decomposes and releases carbon dioxide and water, the very elements that give life to plants.
We are committed to protecting the environment. We use recycled materials and sustainable practices in everything we do, from sourcing our materials to manufacturing our products. By choosing us, you can help us make a difference for our planet.
